The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) is an initiative funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Nuffic. It aims to contribute to sustainable and inclusive development by providing mid-career professionals with the opportunity to study in the Netherlands.
The programme focuses on strengthening the capacity, knowledge, and quality of both individuals and organizations in higher and vocational education. It is designed to foster long-term institutional cooperation between Dutch knowledge institutions and their counterparts in participating countries.
Scholarships are awarded to professionals who are in a position to apply the knowledge gained during their studies to their home country's development. The programme targets specific priority areas defined by the Dutch government to ensure maximum impact in partner nations.
The OKP supports a range of short courses and Master's degree programmes at Dutch higher education institutions. Participants are selected based on their professional background, the relevance of their study to their home country's needs, and their potential to contribute to their sector upon return.
