MBBS in Russia

MBBS in Russia

Six-year English-medium MBBS at WHO-listed Russian universities, with affordable tuition and a large Pakistani student community.

About MBBS in Russia

Russia has taught medicine to international students for decades. Its established universities run six-year English-medium MBBS programs, sit in the World Directory of Medical Schools, and cost far less than private colleges in Pakistan or the West. That mix keeps Russia near the top of the list for Pakistani students each year.

The draw is depth at a low price. You study under a research-heavy tradition, live in hostels close to campus, and join a large Pakistani community that already knows the ropes on food, prayer, and settling in.

Two things need care: recognition and winter. Confirm your university's current listing before you commit, and plan for a genuinely cold climate. We handle the first and prepare you for the second.

Recognition and Practicing at Home

Russia's established medical universities are listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, which is the base requirement for most licensing exams. Pakistani graduates return, register with the PMDC/PMC, and sit the NLE to practice.

Recognition is per university, not per country. Before you apply, confirm that your target university currently holds the listing your home council needs. We check this against the live directory for every student, since a name on an old brochure is not proof.

Cost of Study and Living

Annual tuition for English-medium MBBS commonly falls in the $3,000 to $6,500 range, depending on the university and city. Hostel accommodation on or near campus keeps living costs low, and Moscow or Saint Petersburg run higher than regional cities.

Budget for winter. Russia is cold for much of the year, so warm clothing and heating are real line items that students from South Asia often underestimate in the first year.

Admission and Visa

You need FSc Pre-Medical or an equivalent with a solid grade in biology, chemistry, and physics. Most universities admit on the strength of your transcript rather than a separate entrance exam, with the main intake in September.

After the university issues an invitation letter through the Russian migration authority, you apply for a student visa. You then register your visa on arrival and complete a medical check. We prepare the attested documents and track each deadline so the invitation and visa line up with the intake.
